Desk Watch
A desk watch is a single open day. We sit where returned books land, and we write down what the day actually does to the counter.
What the day covers
Arun or Mali sits in a chair you point to, close enough to see the stamp and the returns slot, far enough not to take a librarian's place. We note the hour the queue forms, how long a hold pickup takes, and whether the returns slot jams after a particular class change.
The note that follows is four to six pages, plain sentences, delivered by email and, if you ask, on paper. It names what we saw that day. It does not redraw a whole season; that is the atlas.
Price and limits
The day rate is 18,000 THB inside Bangkok, following your posted open hours. We do not ask the desk to stay late. A second day is a separate booking. Travel beyond Bangkok is quoted with the rail fare or a hired car before you confirm.
If the library is closed for a ceremony or a flood warning, we reschedule. A no-show on a confirmed day is treated as set out on the refunds page.
